JOB SUMMARY – What it’s all about

Position title: Accountant Trainee

Reports to: Manager Accounts Payable, Marie-Louise Sundgaard

Job Location: Denmark, Copenhagen

We're looking for two new parttime Accountant Trainees with flair for details and a passion for accuracy to support a smooth and efficient flow of incoming invoices.

This is your opportunity to join our Finance Account Payables team and impact our financial operations running smoothly The positions are based in our global HQ in Copenhagen and will be part of our Group Finance department, that includes sub departments such as Group Accounting, Financial Reporting & Controlling and Group Financial Planning & Analysis.

Curious about what keeps us busy in Accounts Payable? We've got three key areas that keep the wheels running:

  • Receiving and processing approximately 5,000 invoices monthly across all our companies, in close collaboration with managers, store managers worldwide, Supply Chain, and Group Controlling.
  • Reconciling and maintaining relationships with 1,700 vendors.
  • Managing all the incoming requests and referrals received to the shared Finance email inbox.

The positions are global, and the primary responsibilities will be:

  • Processing Invoices: You will be responsibe for the accurate processing of all invoices through our system, Readsoft, and are co-responsibe for ensuring all invoices are booked and processed through our bookkeeping system, Dynamics.
  • Maintaining Vendor Master Data: You will manage all aspects of vendor master data, including cleaning and updating vendor information in accordance with our policies.
  • Vendor reconciliations: In close collaboration with the other members of the AP team, you will participate in our continuously vendor reconciliations.

As a member of our Finance team, you will gain insight into bookkeeping, preparing financial statements for audits, and contributing to the annual report.

The part-time positions are estimated at 20 hours per week. Although the workload can vary from month to month and we would therefore expect you to be flexible and open to adjusting your workload and working hours, especially around our monthly close.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – What you’ll do

  • Processing invoices in Readsoft
  • Processing and booking invoices in Dynamics
  • Cleaning and maintaining Vendor data
  • Vendor reconciliations

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • No previous experience is required to join the AP team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work and is dedicated and detailed orientated in their work.
  • No specific education is necessary, although this position can serve as a great opportunity for those who have recently begun their studies, providing valuable practical experience.
  • Basic understanding of the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Confident in oral and written English
  • High work-ethic
