ABOUT THE JOB

As a Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing of business critical categories such as; perishable products, disposables, & equipment. You will develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure that the company has a steady and reliable supply in the restaurants, while minimising waste and maximising profitability. You will work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to manage inventory levels, ensure timely delivery of goods. You will control, manage, and update IT system records for all purchasing activities and provide regular reports to seniormanagement on the performance of the department.

You will be working closely together with Operational Purchasing Manager, who will be working closely with the operations teams in the restaurants to ensure that all operational planning, performance, and education are aligned in the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage operational parts of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, operational planning, and inventory.
• Management of the purchasing ERP planning system.
• Work closely with the Frontend Purchasing Manager, Inventory managers, and operations teams, to ensure that inventory levels are maintained and that products meet quality standards
• Manage the procurement process, including purchase order creation, order confirmation, and delivery tracking
• Work with suppliers and distribution partners to ensure stock availability and timely delivery of all products to various restaurant locations
• Provide regular reports to senior management on the performance of the purchasing department, including budgeting, cost savings, and inventory management
• Manage supplier KPIs
• Analyse supply chain data and performance. Including weekly reporting to HQ
• Manage the reduction of waste in the supply chain and restaurants
• Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes and improve ways of working for restaurants
• Working together with the facilities team to ensure the timely requisition of items

EXEPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities (preferred)
• Flair for working with different IT systems
• Proven record in the Hospitality Industry and ideally within the Food & Beverage Category
• You should be analytical with a results driven attitude to work and a high level of attention to detail
• Pro-active in identifying issues as or before they arise
• Ability to work under pressure, meet targets, and deadlines
• Strong communication skills - written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to represent the company at external meetings with suppliers and external stakeholders
